Happy Birthday, RAKI!

There are some certain people that you feel very much connected from the first time you know them. Although not having spent so much time together, you know there is something special about this person. Luckily i have a few of this type of friends (different corners of the world) but unluckily one of them left Brussels about a week ago.Eduardo Rosenstein Silva..before writing about his farewell and leaving, here are some Facts & Figures about this guy :

edu dinnersoho

At his last weekend here in Brussels, Isabel inititated to organise a surprise dinner for him. Everyone (we were more than 40 people i guess) went to a ribs place first for the surprise dinner. Afterwards we headed to La Countabalet however the stupid security guy didn't let us in saying that ''i dont want to deal with students or erasmus people'' not knowing that he lost 30-40 customers.

Anyways we went to the other bar, Soho ; although it was a bit crowded and expensive the night was full of adventures. Snakes, losing my bag, finding it again (thanks to Nelly! ) Worst part of the night was of course to have to say good bye to this guy..

other favorite brasilian + whose are they?

Anyways back to this guy.. i met him not more than 3 months ago, but i feel like i know him for so long. He is now back in Brazil, his hometown Curitiba, most probably enjoying summer and he will be heading to New York hopefully in January to start working in Pwc. I dont know whether it is the place i will see him next time.. yes maybe NY, maybe Curitiba, maybe Istanbul maybe another corner of the world. But i am sure, we will see each other again, smoke nargile, get drunk, party 24 hrs a day, do some important revelations, be each other's p*** (as they say in the turkish saying)

And Happy Birthday Raki, I hope your new year will bring you a life with lots of happiness, peace, laughters, friends, love, success, money, luck.. every good thing that you deserve..

Take care,ok?

Cheers,Tutu :)

Kamila's + Katharina's Birthday...

I am terrible at blogging. Nothing new, I know...
But although it's been more than 2 weeks, i still wanted to post about Kamila's birthday. Kamila is one of flatmates, doing an internship in DHL - like half of Brussels :). She was also an AIESECer, worked in Polish MC as VPOGX bla bla.. It was her birthday 2 weeks ago - October 31st.

And around 2 weeks earlier, Ola, Joanna and i decided to organize a surprise party for her. As we planned, it was supposed to be one of these surprises that you can see in the movies but Ola sent an e-mail to everyone one day before explaining all the details about the party and guess what ? Kamila was also in the recipient list. :) So we couldnt do this fancy surprise at the end but we had still so much fun.

We also celebrated Katharina's birthday (German - WEGROW trainee in DHL) 2 days in advance, we bought a squash racket for our sporty girl, Kamila and a jewellery box for our poshy/rich girl Katharina ;p But even with the racket, i give no chance to Kamila against me, hahah..

And Everyone was pretty trashed when we left home around midnight, we went to Havana a very famous Latino club. As it was Halloween and holiday the other day, it was pretty crowded, but i really liked the place. I still prefer La Corbeau (a place that you can dance on the chairs, tables) but Havana was good too..

Anyways.. soo happy birthday again Kamila'cim, welcome to Club of 24!! :)

NTMS.. AIESEC.. again...

NTMS was the first AIESEC Conference i wasn't a faci or an MC for long time.. I was ''just'' a trainee and no expectations apart from having fun, chilling out, drinking, sightseeing..

beachoostende

0ostende beach:me, nico,mike,danka + oostende city center

The conference was in Oostende (in the North - seaside city) , it would be nice to see a different place and also see Tolga and Ali (Turkish MC) who were facilitators in the conference soo I decided going there last Friday.

ilk geceturkish

danka, augustin, nico, dana + turkish delegation in global village

I was going alone and luckily i met with a huge delegation from AIESEC Ichec and i joined them on the way. Augustin (mx), Dana (canada), Danka(slovak) and Jan(czech) were the first ones to arrive. Other trainees Fernanda(brazil),Edu(brazil), Boban(serbia), Alykhan(canada), Oskari(finland), Belhassen(tunisia), Mike(canada), Isabel(brazil), Paolo(portugal),leon(aus) and feidy (indonesia) showed up on Saturday..

my LC, AIESEC Ehsal

Drinking, having fun, sightseeing in Oostende were all good, but one of the most remarkable things in the conference was the session given by an academician (forgot his name) on Belgian culture. I have to admit that by working in an international company and living in a very international house, i am not very much involved in Belgian Culture. However one thing, i realized about most of the this nation is that the people are not very much aware of their past, even if they are, they don't know about their successes, their victories and they are too modest especially compared with the neighbor countries such as france , germany, holland etc..

son gunevaluation

mike, jan, me, fernanda + feedback session

Another important thing was the trainee feedback session, where we evaluated our internships, reception etc. Being in aiesec for 6 years, I am very much aware of how things should work but also i know that how they actually work in this organisation.. So the conclusion i came up with; the best way is not to have many expectations ;)
