What happened?!
Haven't been posting for 6 months. During these last 6 months, nothing much happened and didn't need to update my blog.
6 months ago, I was living in Sydney, happily ever after with my Aussie MC team. In January, I had to come back to Turkey for only 2 wks to take my exams and I was supposed to go back to Aussieland afterwards..
That was the plan... UNTIL I learnt from my school that due to the system change, I need to attend most of my classes, should also take my midterm exams and the # of the subjects that I had to take increased from 14 to 18..
I had to give a decision; not only me but also with my team mates. However this decision was already given by Marmara University :"if you fail any of the subjects, you will be disbanded." I was already disbanded once, and I couldn't dare to live the same.
Sooo I had to stay in Turkey, had to resign from AIESEC Australia, say goodbye to my team, leave half of my clothing in Sydney and leave my heart (!) there as well..
In fact, so far I was repeating to myself that "that was it; the destiny, there was nothing you could do about it so why feel sad" until I saw the video of a Turkish Star a few days ago. The singer was Rafet El Roman (allah cezasini versin zaten onun), the song was "Ask" (Love) and it was shot it in Sydney. Once I saw it, I started to cry. It was the first time that I cried after I left Australia. It was the first time that I realized I really missed my life down there.. :(((
But somewhere deep inside, I feel that I will go there again, will sit by the Opera House watching the Harbour Bridge and I will meet with those great people again and tell them the things I could have said before..
Thanks Sydney, thanks AIESEC Australia.
Thanks to Brett, John, Mei, Penny, Ralph, Sergey and Tilly.
You can't guess what this 6 months has meant and will ever mean to me;
Thx for everything,
PS: I know it sounds a bit "lame" but it is better than keeping inside..
:)
